Ep. #103: Like The Time Three Siblings All Met Their Spouses At The Same Summer Camp

Recently, Beth Orlansky went viral for (in these parts) the best possible reason – during her appearance on Jeopardy(!) she talked about the impact Jewish camp had on her and her family. She married her camp boyfriend, but not only that, his other two siblings also began dating their future partners at the same camp as well!

Full disclosure, I already knew this, because for the first decade or so of my life, Beth was my next-door neighbor, and the camp she went to is the same one I grew up at, Jacobs Camp in Utica, MS. Even though I knew they were all camp couples, the Jeopardy shoutout made me get up off my butt and get back in the recording booth (so to speak) to get the full backstory to their unique* family story.

*How unique is it? Anyone else out there part of a family tree that includes 3+ camp couplings? I’d love to dive deeper.

So, in our latest episode of Campfires and Color Wars, we got the chance to sit down with each of the three couples – Beth and Steve Orlansky, Larry and Naomi Orlansky, and Linda and Mark Posner, to hear their summer loving origin stories, which I know you’ll enjoy as much as I did.

Don’t waste a minute, take a listen!
