Ellie Krupnick (right), as dressed up as anyone should ever be at camp.
Take it from that classic Grease song Summer Nights:
“Summer lovin’, had me a blast,
Summer lovin’, the lyrics to this song have not aged well”
Camp relationships come up a lot on this podcast, for a number of reasons, but mostly because they were among the most enjoyable times of our lives. There was very little outside pressure, lots of chances for intimacy (physical and otherwise) and mostly taking place during a time in our lives when we didn’t know what the hell we were doing and neither did anyone else.
Ellie Krupnick spent many a summer at Camp Ramah in the Poconos, and based on her time there co-authored a great piece for HuffPo singling out the 24 Reasons Dating At Camp Is Better Than In The Real World.
We dive into just what makes relationships at camp so memorable and why napping with your boo is during your off period is one of the great joys in life.
Don’t waste a minute, take a listen!
