Iris Krasnow (top), passing along wisdom to the next generation of camp best friends.

Many of us met some of our closest friends in the world at summer camp, and author Iris Krasnow joins our latest episode to share her experiences growing up at Camp Agawak and the friendships she made there, both of which serve as the inspiration for her new book Camp Girls: Fireside Lessons on Friendship, Courage, and Loyalty.

We talk about how our camp experiences set us up to take on the quarantine situation, hear about what it’s been like for Krasnow to re-enter the camp environment (she has returned to spending her summers at Agawak after a long absence), and discuss how much has changed in how we logistically send our kids to camp nowadays compared to when we were growing up.

Don’t waste a minute, take a listen!

And don’t forget to check out our latest episode of Jewish Geography Zoom Racing this Saturday night at 9 ET!
